UHS: Weekly News and Notes

Posted Date: 05/15/26 (02:00 PM)

A few updates from UHS this week:

Senior Exams

The last week for seniors, including final assessments for those requiring them, will be next week. The exam schedule is linked here. In addition, there will be some requirements in terms of obligations, such as books, charges to the cafeteria, library materials, and Chromebooks that must be met before a student is permitted to participate in graduation. Any obligations that have not been met will result in the student not receiving their cap and gown. It would be best for students to check both with the main office and other staff (such as the cafeteria) next week, since there are not many formal academic responsibilities remaining!

Final Exams in June

We recognize that with the last day of school approaching that some folks have requested the final exam schedule. It is still in draft form but will be here. Because the last day of school was adjusted and we were permitted to move it to June 18, because of approval from the state, the last day will have to be a full day of school. The three days preceding will be half days for final exams. We are planning an activity day for the last day of school, as classes will be mostly complete by that time. Students who may require an exception or reschedule of the exam need to have that approved by administration.
The final schedule is linked here. Please recognize that this is in draft form and may adjust.

Talent Show Tonight

Come check out the many talents of our students and even a few staff with our annual Talent Show at 7:00 p.m., tonight in the UHS auditorium!

Finally, I want to thank those of you who attended Town Meeting and have reached out (either before or after) to indicate your support of what we continue to build here at UHS. As I have consistently shared, we will do our best to be responsible stewards of taxpayer resources while building a school that is a source of pride, for students, educators, families, and community at large.

Have a great weekend!
